BarruFrost participates in trade fairs in France

Training and support for one of our key clients

On January 9, BarruFrost, the frozen food division of Barrufet Seafood represented by Roger Granell (technical director) and Marta Mier (export director), participated in a training and commercial support day for one of our clients from the Pomona Group, specifically the Pomona Passion Froid Languedoc-Roussillon agency, which is highly relevant in the distribution sector in France and is expanding rapidly into other EU territories. The meeting was held in Nîmes with their sales team and other strategic suppliers.

Purpose of the trade fair

The event respond to two objectives:

1. To launch two new products from our benchmark brands:

• Essential IQF baby squid bone-out

• Linda Grey IQF Cut squid

2. To highlight our star product:

• Linda Grey IQF Whole cleaned cuttlefish, a regular feature at our tastings and the product that marked the beginning of our business relationship.

Hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking

Around 50 sales representatives from the agency actively participated in this experience, during which they had the opportunity to handle, cook and learn about our products firsthand. The objective was to strengthen the sales team’s knowledge of our products, their culinary applications and the different pairing possibilities within their wide catalogue.

As suppliers, we contributed to the sales workshop by providing training and advice, sharing detailed information about our products and recipe suggestions.
